Pressfox hosts documents that other people open. This policy exists so that a report link from any Pressfox workspace can be trusted. It forms part of the terms of service.
Zero tolerance
Child sexual abuse material and non-consensual intimate imagery, including synthetic or AI-generated imagery, are never allowed. If we find them, we close the workspace without notice, preserve the data as the law requires and report it to the competent authorities.
You may not use Pressfox to
- Create, store or distribute content that is illegal where you or the recipient are, including material that infringes others' intellectual property or privacy. Rights holders can use our copyright policy.
- Embed malware, exploit code or links to it in templates, assets or payloads. Templates are data and never execute, but links and images inside a report can still be used to harm.
- Produce documents designed to deceive, such as fake invoices, forged certificates, false inspection or survey reports, diplomas, identity documents, medical or lab results, or bank statements; phishing pages; reports that falsely claim a third party's approval; or documents that impersonate another organisation, in particular on custom domains or with another organisation's brand profile.
- Claim that a report is a fiscal document issued or certified by a tax authority (CFDI, NFS-e, FatturaPA, Verifactu or similar). Pressfox renders your invoice; it does not issue it for tax purposes.
- Present a signature widget as a qualified or advanced electronic signature. It records a drawn or typed signature image and nothing more.
- Send protected health information under US HIPAA. We do not offer a business associate agreement yet. Health data under GDPR may be processed only where your own lawful basis covers it.
- Harvest or expose personal data without a lawful basis, or publish reports about individuals who have not consented or whom you have no other basis to document.
AI features
- Do not use the AI features to create content this policy forbids, or to get around their safeguards.
- Do not present AI output as professional medical, legal, financial or tax advice.
- Do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on people based only on AI output. A person must review them.
Service integrity
- Do not create extra workspaces or accounts to avoid limits, enforcement or billing. Do not use free workspaces in bulk, or automated sign-ups, to obtain capacity you have not paid for.
- Do not share one workspace across unrelated organisations to avoid paying, and do not share API keys outside your organisation.
- Do not resell the service without a written agreement with us.
- Do not send traffic that degrades the service for others, or try to circumvent plan limits.
- Do not probe, scan or test the service or other workspaces, except under the responsible-disclosure rules on the security page.
Reporting content
Anyone can report a report. Email hello@pressfox.io, subject "Abuse report", with the link, what is wrong with it and, if you are claiming infringement or defamation, who you are and why you have standing. Copyright notices have their own route on the copyright page. We acknowledge within two business days. This address is our single point of contact for authorities and for recipients of Pressfox-hosted content under the Digital Services Act (Articles 11 and 12); write in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
Our legal representative in the European Union under Article 13 of the Digital Services Act is being appointed; it will be named here.
Sending a report you know to be false breaks this policy.
No general monitoring
We do not read customer reports in the normal course of operating the service, and we have no general obligation to monitor them (EU Digital Services Act, Art. 8). In Brazil, the Marco Civil da Internet (Law 12,965/2014, Arts. 19 and 21) sets when a provider must act on content posted by others. A complaint is the usual trigger for a review.
How we act
- We review the report against this policy and the law.
- Where content is clearly illegal or harmful we disable the link immediately. Otherwise we contact the workspace owner first and give them a chance to respond, normally within five business days.
- Depending on how serious the breach is, we may ask you to fix it, disable a report link, restrict a feature, suspend the workspace or close it.
- When we disable a link, restrict a feature or suspend a workspace we send the owner a statement of reasons: what was reported, which rule applies, what we did and how to contest it.
- Repeated or serious breaches end the agreement under the terms. Export remains available for 30 days unless the content itself is what is unlawful.
Appeals
If we acted on your content or your report and you disagree, you can appeal within 6 months of our decision. Email hello@pressfox.io, subject "Appeal", with the link or the workspace and why you think the decision is wrong. Where practical, someone other than the person who made the decision reviews it. We tell you the outcome and the reasons. If you are in the EU, you may also use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under Article 21 of the Digital Services Act, and you can always go to court.
Our side
We will not disable content because it is critical of us, because a competitor asked, or because it is merely unpopular. We keep a record of notices and actions and will publish aggregate figures once there is something to count.
