Vessel inspection reports, one per ship

Checklists, findings and photos from an inspection become one report in your brand, laid out the same way every time: a page your client opens in any browser, and a PDF to keep.
Who sends it
Marine surveyors, inspection firms and technical teams of ship managers; field inspectors of sites and equipment.
Who receives it
Ship managers, owners, charterers and whoever ordered the inspection.

The report

What the report includes

  • A cover with the vessel, the inspection and your logo
  • A table of contents with page numbers
  • Checklists marked pass, fail or not applicable, with notes
  • Findings with their severity and status, and a count at the top
  • Photo pages, each photo numbered and printed whole
  • The inspector's sign-off

A ready-made Vessel inspection layout is waiting in the app. Add your logo and colours, change what you like, and it is yours.

Today, and with Pressfox

Writing it up

The inspector copies checklist answers from the app or a spreadsheet into a Word document, section by section.

The inspection is sent once from the tool your inspectors already use, and the report comes out the same way for every ship.

Photos

Photos are pasted and resized by hand, and the file grows too large for email.

Every photo prints whole and numbered, with a full-size copy at the back. Online, a click opens it full size.

Sending

A PDF goes out by email, and nobody knows which copy was opened.

Each recipient gets their own link, which can expire, and the PDF carries a QR code back to the online version.

What matters in this industry

Photos

Hundreds of photos, printed whole

Photos are never cut across pages. Every photo can also be printed again full size at the back, with its caption and the page it belongs to.

Long reports

Long reports that are easy to read

A cover, a table of contents, headers and footers on every page, and the same section repeated for each area inspected.

Checklists

Checklists and findings

Each check marked pass, fail or not applicable, with a note; findings listed with severity and status; the totals at the top.

Print to screen

From paper back to the screen

A QR code on the printed report opens the online version, where every photo can be seen full size, and a line says where anyone can check the PDF is genuine.

What it costs

A plan that fits the volume

150 vessel inspections a month, around 76 pages each with photos.

Starter plan$29 a month

Well within what the plan includes. Trying it out is free. Plans and prices

Honest limits

What it does not do

  • No app for inspectors in the field: they keep using the inspection tool they have today.
  • Class-society and flag-state formats are layouts you build or adapt, not certified forms.
  • Not an archive: reports stay online while your subscription is active, and 30 days after it ends (7 days on Free). Keep your own copy of the PDF.

Three questions we hear

Can our inspection tool send the reports by itself?

Usually yes. Most inspection tools can pass their data on when an inspection is closed, and a developer connects them once. If something is missing, nothing is sent to your client and you are told exactly what to fix.

How many photos can one report carry?

Hundreds. Each prints whole, never cut across pages, and you can add a section at the back with every photo full size. Online, every photo opens full size too.

How can an insurer check our report was not changed?

On the verify page. From Standard, every live report's PDF is recorded when it is made, and prints where to check it. The insurer drops the file there and sees that it is genuine, who issued it and when, or that a corrected version replaced it. The file never leaves their browser.
