Terms of service

On this page

These terms govern the use of Pressfox. Pressfox is a product of IT Solid Solutions (CARLOS A. GIRALT TORRIENTE TECNOLOGIA DA INFORMACAO LTDA, CNPJ 47.281.371/0001-52), Avenida Prefeito Osmar Cunha, 416, Florianópolis-SC, 88015-100, Brazil ("Pressfox", "we"). See company information. By creating a workspace, inviting members or sending a request to the API, the organisation you act for ("Customer", "you") agrees to them. Pressfox is offered to businesses and professionals; it is not offered to consumers. These terms are written in English, and the English text governs; any translation is for convenience only.

1. Definitions

  • Workspace: the unit of ownership, access and billing in Pressfox. It holds templates, brand profiles, assets, API keys, members and reports.
  • Customer Content: everything you or your members put into a workspace: templates, payloads, assets, fonts, brand profiles and the reports rendered from them.
  • Report: a document rendered from a template version and a payload, delivered as a hosted page, a PDF, or both.
  • Recipient: a person who opens a report link, or receives a report by email, from a workspace.
  • Plan: the plan the workspace is on (Free, Starter, Standard, Pro or Enterprise), with the limits shown on the pricing page.
  • Unit: the measure of usage. One unit is a live report of up to 50 pages; longer reports count one unit per 50 pages or part of it. Covers and test reports are not counted.

2. The service

Pressfox lets you design report templates in the browser, publish them as immutable versions, and turn JSON data into hosted report pages and PDF files through an API. The service, its limits and its support levels are described by the plan you choose; the current plan matrix at pressfox.io/pricing forms part of these terms.

3. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be 18 or older and use Pressfox on behalf of an organisation, with authority to bind it to these terms.
  • Give accurate details when you sign up and keep them up to date.
  • Sign-in is by a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google. Keep access to your email account and your API keys secret. You are responsible for what is done with them.
  • Tell us at once at hello@pressfox.io, subject "Security report", if you suspect that someone is using your account or keys without permission. Revoke the keys in the app.

4. Workspaces, ownership and control

The workspace belongs to the Customer that pays for it, not to the individual who created it or signed in. Workspace owners may add and remove members, change roles, manage billing, transfer ownership and close the workspace. You are responsible for the people you invite and for keeping API keys confidential; a request made with your key is a request made by you.

If people disagree about who controls a workspace, we may restrict the workspace until the dispute is settled. We act on our records (the owner on record and the billing details) and on documents that show who is authorised to act for the Customer. We are not liable for acting in good faith on those records.

5. Plans, fees and renewal

  • Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in Billing; the plan runs to the end of the paid period and does not renew.
  • Usage above the included units is billed in arrears, on the next invoice, at the overage rate of your plan. Paid workspaces may cap usage at the included units instead; on Starter the cap is on until you turn it off.
  • A new workspace starts with a 14-day trial of the Standard plan, without a card. When the trial ends the workspace moves to Free unless you subscribe. One trial per person and per company.
  • Hosted reports are kept while your subscription is active and for 30 days after it ends, then deleted; on Free they are kept 7 days. A change of plan never deletes templates, brands, members or reports; the new plan's limits apply to new items only.
  • Included units reset at the start of each calendar month. Unused units do not roll over.
  • Prices exclude taxes. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle calculates and collects applicable taxes, issues invoices and processes refunds under our refund policy.
  • If you think a charge is wrong, write to us at hello@pressfox.io before you dispute it with your bank or card issuer. We correct wrong charges whatever their date.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal.
  • Free workspaces are provided without charge, carry a watermark on live reports, and may be closed after 90 days without sign-in with 14 days' notice.

6. Third-party services

Some parts of the service rely on other companies, and their own terms apply to what they do: Paddle for checkout, invoices, taxes and refunds; Google if you choose to sign in with Google. Systems you connect, such as the endpoints that receive your webhooks or an AI agent you connect over MCP, are yours and under your control; we are not responsible for them. The providers that process data for us are listed on the subprocessors page.

7. Acceptable use

You must comply with the acceptable use policy. In short: no illegal content, no malware or deceptive documents, no protected health information under US law until we offer a business associate agreement, no claims that a Pressfox report is a fiscal document issued by a tax authority, and no documents designed to impersonate others on custom domains. We may suspend a workspace that breaches this policy and will tell you why, as described in the policy. Rights holders can report infringing reports under our copyright policy.

8. Your content and our platform

  • You own your templates, payloads, assets, brand profiles and the reports rendered from them.
  • You are responsible for your Customer Content and for the reports you issue, including their accuracy and your right to use what is in them.
  • You grant us a licence to host, store, render, cache and deliver that content as needed to provide the service and to the people you share report links with.
  • We own the platform, the widget kit and registry, the designer, the domain packs and sample templates. Packs and samples are licensed to you for use within the service, including the templates you derive from them.
  • We may use aggregated, anonymised usage data to operate and improve the service. We do not use your content to train AI models.
  • If you upload fonts, you confirm that their licence permits self-hosting on your domains and embedding in PDFs.

9. AI features

Some features use AI: drafting a template's translations, translating the report text fields you mark, short summaries in reports, the designer assistant, and building a draft template from a PDF you upload. They work on text only.

  • Outputs can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them. You are responsible for the reports you issue, including text an AI feature wrote.
  • AI drafts of a template's translations are shown to you to review and edit before you publish. A published version is frozen, so rendering a report does not call a model for template text.
  • Reports say when AI was used: a translated report carries a machine-translation notice, and an AI summary is printed with a "Written by AI" line.
  • The text a feature needs is sent to Anthropic in the United States, as listed on the subprocessors page. Your content is not used to train AI models.
  • AI features are off for health workspaces.

10. API, MCP and AI agents

  • API keys are credentials. Keep them in a secret store and revoke any key you think has leaked.
  • Rate limits and plan limits apply to the API and the MCP server. We may slow down or refuse requests that exceed them.
  • An AI agent you connect to Pressfox acts as you. What it does with the access you grant is your responsibility, as if you had done it yourself.
  • You may not use the service, the API or its documentation to copy Pressfox or to build a competing service.

11. Beta and changed features

Features marked as beta or preview may change or end, and come with less support. We improve the service over time and may change or remove features. If we remove a feature of your paid plan during a paid period, we offer you a reasonable alternative or a pro-rata credit for the rest of that period.

12. Data protection

For content you send to render, you are the controller and we are the processor. Our data processing agreement applies to every workspace and is incorporated here. The privacy notice describes what we process as a controller for your account. We host your data in the EU and operate the service from Brazil; the DPA sets out the safeguards for that access. See the security page.

13. Suspension

We may suspend a workspace, a report link or a feature without notice in serious or urgent cases: clearly illegal content, a risk to the security of the service or of others, or non-payment that continues after notice. When we do, we tell the workspace owner the reasons as soon as we can, and we lift the suspension once the cause is fixed. In other cases we contact you first, as the acceptable use policy describes.

14. Export, switching, termination and deletion

  • You may export your workspace at any time in a machine-readable format: templates and versions, brand profiles, reports with their PDFs and metadata.
  • You may terminate at any time. In line with the EU Data Act, we require no more than two months' notice to switch away, provide a 30-day transition period during which export remains available, and charge no switching fee.
  • We may terminate for material breach uncured 30 days after notice, immediately for breaches of the acceptable use policy that create legal exposure or harm others, or for non-payment 14 days after notice.
  • After termination, we delete workspace data after a 30-day cooling period, subject to legal hold. Backups age out within the window stated in the DPA.
  • When an owner deletes a workspace in the app, it becomes read-only for a 30-day cooling period, during which the owner can restore it. After that it is deleted permanently and its encryption key is destroyed. Deletion cannot be undone once the cooling period ends.

15. Service levels and support

Support is provided at the level of your plan. A separate service level agreement with uptime commitments and service credits will be published for Standard and Pro once we have measured production availability; until then we publish no uptime figure and offer no credits.

16. Warranties and disclaimers

We will provide the service with reasonable skill and care. Except as stated here, the service is provided as is, and we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement to the extent the law allows. Reports are rendered from your data as you send it; we do not check its accuracy. A report is not a fiscal invoice, a qualified electronic signature or a legally certified document unless a feature says so explicitly.

17. Indemnities

You indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your content, your use of custom fonts, or your breach of the acceptable use policy. We indemnify you against third-party claims that the platform itself infringes their intellectual property, provided you notify us promptly and let us control the defence.

18. Liability

Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data beyond the restoration obligations in the DPA. Each party's total liability under these terms in any 12-month period is limited to the fees paid by the Customer in the 12 months before the claim or USD 100, whichever is higher, except that for breach of the DPA or confidentiality obligations the cap is twice that amount. Nothing limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or anything that cannot be limited by law.

19. Confidentiality

Each party keeps the other's non-public information confidential and uses it only to perform under these terms. Report content shared by you with recipients through links you control is not confidential information of ours to protect beyond the DPA.

20. Consumer and statutory rights

Pressfox is made for businesses. If a law gives you rights that a contract cannot take away, these terms do not limit them. Examples are the 7-day right of withdrawal in the Brazilian Consumer Code (Art. 49) where it applies to you, and consumer law in the EU or the United Kingdom.

21. Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we give 30 days' notice by email to workspace owners. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance; if you do not agree you may terminate and we will refund any prepaid, unused period. Each version is dated, and the version history below says what changed.

22. Disputes and governing law

If a dispute arises, write to us at hello@pressfox.io, subject "Dispute", and both parties will try in good faith to resolve it for 30 days before going to court. This does not stop either party from seeking urgent relief from a court.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, and the courts of Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory rules that apply where you are established.

23. General terms

  • Entire agreement. These terms, with the policies and the DPA they link to, are the whole agreement between us about Pressfox. A signed Enterprise agreement prevails where it says so.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer these terms without our written consent. We may transfer them to a company that takes over Pressfox, and will tell you.
  • Force majeure. Neither party is liable for a delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as a natural disaster, war, a failure of the internet or of a provider's infrastructure, or an act of government.
  • Severability. If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest stays in force.
  • No waiver. If a party does not enforce a right at once, it does not give it up.
  • Notices. We send notices to the email address of the workspace owner. You send notices to hello@pressfox.io.
  • Language. The English text governs. Translations are for convenience only.

24. Contact

Write to hello@pressfox.io. Use the subject "Privacy request" for data protection, "Abuse report" to report content and "Copyright notice" for infringement.
