Design once. Send data. Share a link and a PDF.

Pressfox turns the data your systems already hold into branded reports: a page your customer opens in any browser, and a PDF to keep. This tour shows each part, what it checks, and where it stops.

1Design

Design the template in the browser

The designer shows the page as it will print, filled with example data, so whoever owns the report can build it without a developer.

Blocks
Drag in text, tables, photos, charts, checklists and signatures.
Pages
Covers, body pages and a back cover, with a running header and footer.
Data
The fields the template reads, filled with example data as you build.

Checked before you publish. The designer checks the template as you work, and publishing runs the same checks again: the layout fits the page and your plan's page limit, every field the template reads is found in the data, and any example field nothing uses is flagged. Errors stop the publish.

Three ways to start

  • A ready-made templateInspection, inspection summary, invoice or sales one-pager, with example data to replace.
  • A blank pageBuild your own layout, block by block.
  • A PDF of your reportUpload a report you make today; Pressfox drafts a template with the same sections and fields. 2 a month on Free.

PDFs need a text layer: exported from Word, Excel or your own tool, not scanned.

2Try

Try it before anyone writes code

The Playground sends a real test request from inside the app. Pick a template and version, edit the example data, press Send, and see the page and the PDF your customer would get.

  • The same checks and messages as the API, as you type
  • Test reports are watermarked TEST, free, and kept 24 hours
  • Copy the exact request as curl, Node or Python for your developer

A real report, no integration. In the app, a new report opens a form built from the template's fields. Fill it in and send a live report, with the same checks as the API.

3Connect

One request. Two possible answers.

Your system sends the template and the data. Pressfox checks the data against that template version before anything is made.

  • 200Ready. A link and a PDF, in the same answer.
  • 422Refused. Nothing was made, and the field is named.
  • 202Still rendering after 2.5 seconds: read the report again, or let a webhook tell your system (Starter and up).

4Share

Share it the way the report needs

Every report is a page that opens in any browser and a PDF to keep, print or forward. You choose who can open it when you create it.

Who can open it

  • PasswordAsks for a password first.Standard and up
  • ExpiryStops opening after a date you set.Starter and up
  • Signed linkOpens only with a signature your system makes.Pro and up

How it reaches people

  • Email, one link eachSend a ready report to up to 50 people. Each gets their own link, which you can revoke on its own. Opens are counted per person; the email has no tracking pixel.
  • QR to the online versionBy default the PDF's first page carries a QR code that opens the live report, so a printed copy leads back to it until the report expires. From Standard, the PDF also says where any reader can check it is genuine.
  • A hosted readerContents on wide screens, page labels, zoom, photos that open full size and a PDF download, in the report's language.

5Brand

Your brand on every page

A brand profile holds your logo, colours, font, locale and currency. Name it on a request with one field, "brand": "tolland", and the same template renders in that brand.

  • 1 brand profile on Free and Starter, 3 on Standard; unlimited on Pro, so each of your customers can have their own
  • Report titles from a pattern on the template, such as Inspection {inspection.reference}; the PDF carries the same title, and its properties name you and the report
  • Report links on your tenant subdomain or your own domain, from Standard
  • No Pressfox watermark on paid plans, and from Standard no Pressfox name in the PDF's properties

Versions

Change templates without breaking what runs

Every publish freezes the template as a new numbered version. A version never changes after it is published, and every report records the version it came from.

  1. v1

    Pinned by your system

Your billing system sends this, so it keeps getting version 1 whatever you publish next.

    "template": "inspection@1"

  2. v2

    Current

Requests that name no version get the latest publish. The publish dialog shows how the data contract changed.

  3. Roll back

    Make an earlier version current

One click in the app. Nothing is republished and no new number is made.

  4. Retire

    Stop a version being used

New requests pinned to it are refused with 410, naming the version to move to. Reports already made keep their links and PDFs.

Quality

Quality, backed by how it works

We do not promise that nothing ever goes wrong. We build so that what goes out is correct, and stays explainable.

  • Refused before it exists

Data that does not fit the template is turned away with the field named. A half-filled report never reaches a customer.

    422$.customer.name

  • Never overwritten

Every published version is kept as it was, and a report's page and PDF are frozen when it is made. A new version never changes a report already sent.

    v2v1 kept

  • Reproducible

Each report records the template version it came from, and dates print as of the moment it was created, so you can always explain what a customer saw.

  • Test mode

Try every template and integration with a test key. Test reports are marked TEST, free, and deleted after 24 hours.

  • An SLA when you need one

Enterprise plans come with a custom service level agreement and a named contact.

    SLAEnterprise plan

  • Verifiable after it leaves

From Standard, every live PDF's fingerprint is recorded when it is made. Anyone can drop a copy on the verify page and see who issued it, when, and whether it was replaced or revoked. The file never leaves their browser.

  • Live reports on Free have up to 3 body pages, plus covers and photos. Test reports are full length on every plan, and paid plans have no page limit per document.
  • Every 50 pages of a document is one unit: a 120-page report counts as 3.
  • Photos print from a copy sized for the page, turned upright, with location and camera data removed. Your original is kept as uploaded.

What it does not do

  • Import scanned PDFs, handwriting or photos of pages. Starting from your report needs a PDF with text in it.
  • Issue fiscal or electronic invoices (CFDI, NFS-e, FatturaPA, Verifactu or similar). It lays out your invoice; it does not file it.
  • Act as your archive. Reports are kept while your subscription is active, and 30 days after it ends (7 days on Free), within your plan's report storage; your system stays the record.
  • Restrict the reader. A PDF password keeps strangers out; whoever has it can print, copy or save the file.
  • Recover a PDF password. We never keep it.
  • Sign documents. The verify page proves a PDF is unchanged since it was issued; a legal signature stays with your provider.
